College Ministry (Solid Rock) – Solid Rock serves students at Humboldt State University and College of the Redwoods with opportunities for bible study, fellowship and outreach. Children’s Sunday School – After our “Worship in Song” time in the Worship Service our children are dismissed to Sunday School classes to enjoy a time of ministry and learning from God’s Word in the Lighthouse rooms. The children are studying through Gospel Light curriculum. God’s love and God’s Word are always the centerpieces of our ministry to your children. Our children’s classes are divided into two age groups: 1st – 3rd grade and 4th-6th grade.
Youth Ministry – Cornerstone Youth Fellowship meets Friday’s at 3:15 p.m. – 4:10 p.m. for Jr. High and at 7:00 p.m. for High School and Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for both Jr. High and High School.  See Youth Ministry page for more info.

Men’s Ministry (Iron Men) – Our Men’s group meets every Saturday morning at 8 a.m. in the Fireplace Room for prayer. In addition they meet quarterly for breakfast or dinner and also have an annual Men’s Retreat which includes bible teaching, fellowship and opportunities to fish, hike, etc. For more information please contact the Church office at 822-0367.
Missions – AFBC has a rich history of supporting missions and sending people to the nations. Presently we support works in Niger (we have an adopted people group here), Brazil, India and others. Nursery (Kids Zone) – Kids Zone is a quality Nursery program that serves ages 0-5 yrs old. It is our goal to teach your child about the goodness of God and how much He loves them. Our desire is to create an atmosphere that reflects God’s love and character. We have committed ourselves to providing a safe, secure environment for your little ones. We want you to enjoy our Worship service, having the assurance that your child is being cared for by a highly committed and trained ministry team.
Prayer Ministry – Our desire is that we become a praying church, not just a church that prays. Presently, we have a weekly men’s prayer gathering on Saturday mornings, a weekly Sunday morning prayer group before church, a once a month all-church prayer gathering which meets the second Saturday of every month and a Women’s Prayer meeting on Tuesday’s at 9:30 a.m.. Small Groups – AFBC believes that the kingdom of God flows out of relationships and there is no better way to build relationships than in a small group environment. Women’s Ministry – Our women meet each Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. in the Fireplace room and each Wednesday evening at 6:15 p.m. in the Conference room for a time of fellowship, prayer and bible study. In the fall the women are going through a Bible study with Priscilla Shirer called The Armor of God.  The Woman’s Ministry also has a weekly prayer meeting, as well as an annual retreat, brunches, outreach and service opportunities. Worship Ministry – AFBC is blessed to have some of the most talented musicians in all of Humboldt County. A unique combination of folk, rock and other musical genres, coupled with both traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship, creates a blended worship experience that is fresh and powerful.
