Solid Rock is made up of college students from Cal Poly Humboldt and College of the Redwoods, and young professionals in the workforce, ranging from ages 18-29. Every Thursday evening at 7 pm, Solid Rock gathers in the Fireplace Room to pursue Jesus together in safe community. We worship Jesus with dynamic young worship teams, listen to testimony of Jesus at work in our lives from peers, engage God’s Word through teaching and breakout groups, and finish off the night with a meal together. During the school year, Breakfast for a Buck meets in the Lighthouse Room on Sundays at 9am for a pretty awesome homemade breakfast and study Scripture together. Afterward, we join corporate worship at 10:15am in the sanctuary. Solid Rock is known for its community, friendships, and adventures. Each Fall, we host a Back to School BBQ for college students and a Solid Rock retreat (October) to kick off the new academic year. On Sunday afternoons, we play ultimate Frisbee together – all skill levels are welcome! Other events include (but not limited to!) apple picking, beach trips, movie nights, and prayer retreats. Solid Rock also cultivates the missional heart of Jesus through local and global outreach. We serve in the juvenile hall by providing the youth with a monthly Sunday worship service. Additionally, Solid Rock participates in an outreach to Arts Alive through various ministry teams that accommodate gifting and personalities so all can serve! Lastly, global mission teams are sent to different places throughout the world to share the love, power, and message of Jesus.
